The complexity of postal flows makes the mail service a postal entity in its own right, and INSA Lyon a true small city. Many of the parcels received are intended for students living in residence, as well as laboratory staff and researchers. Hundreds of registered letters sent and received during enrollment periods and competitive exam results are handled by this service. It is to address this challenge that, in 2015, INSA decided to implement Isitrac.

Isitrac now provides real-time responses to inquiries through multi-criteria search (name, parcel number, carrier, etc.), along with the ability to send, in one click, a PDF summary of the item, including the barcode, a photo of the signature, a timestamp, and the full history of the parcel.
