sitec joins panel on the autonomous bridge between production and warehouse

Isitec Türkiye at the heart of the intralogistics debate

On October 22, 2026, Isitec Türkiye took part in the first edition of İç Lojistik & Depo Otomasyon Çözümleri (Intralogistics & Warehouse Automation Solutions), held from October 20 to 22 at Makina Hangar, the Engineering and Technology Center in Kartal, Istanbul.

The event was organized by the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (MMO) – Istanbul Branch and Hannover Fairs Turkey, the Turkish office of Deutsche Messe AG, in collaboration with LODER (Logistics Association) and DEPODER (Warehouse Association), with the support of HOW – Hub of Warehouse.

Built around an invitation-only format, case study sessions, panels and live demo areas, the event focused on AMR, AS/RS, smart warehouses, intralogistics and warehouse digitalization across nine sectors, from e-commerce and 3PL to automotive suppliers and manufacturing plants.

Isitec was represented on the panel “Manufacturing Plants: An Autonomous Bridge Between Production and the Warehouse.”

A panel bringing together solution providers and manufacturers

Moderated by Enver Sedat Güneş, President of DEPODER, the panel featured:

  • Alper Ünal, Country Manager, Isitec Türkiye;
  • Gözde Gürdal Gültekin, Intralogistics Engineering Technology Leader, Ford Otosan;
  • Eren Gönenli, General Manager, Anot Group.

The format brought together the perspective of an intralogistics integrator with those of a major automotive manufacturer and an industrial player. The central question: how can material flow between production lines and warehouses be made faster, safer and more efficient through autonomous systems?

Production to warehouse: an often underestimated link

In a manufacturing plant, the link between the warehouse and the production lines directly drives overall performance. A late supply stops a line, a wrong component causes rework, and manual transport ties up operators on low-value tasks.

This is exactly where autonomous mobile robots (AGV / AMR) make a difference: safe navigation alongside operators, just-in-time supply of workstations, full traceability of every movement, and integration with the plant’s information systems.

Alper Ünal: “The challenge of integration is often not technical, it lies in the boundaries of responsibility”

Sharing his takeaways after the panel, Alper Ünal stresses that successful integration depends on clearly separating the layers from the start:

“The ERP or WMS decides what needs to be done, our control software decides how and when, and the field equipment does the work. When that boundary is drawn at the start of the project, integration is completed within weeks.”

According to Ünal, common communication standards make things much easier, but they are not enough on their own:

“Standards like OPC UA, MQTT and VDA 5050 have largely solved how systems talk to each other, but not what they say. Designing how they work together is still our job.”

Isitec International’s expertise in autonomous flows

A designer and integrator of sorting and robotics solutions for more than 20 years, Isitec International helps manufacturers and logistics operators automate their internal flows, from design through installation and service. With more than 100 applications installed and running, the company brings hands-on field experience in AGV / AMR, pick to light and automated sorting projects.

Through its subsidiary Isitec Türkiye, Isitec International supports Turkish manufacturers and logistics operators locally in modernizing their intralogistics.
