By taking over ALFI FIMEC’s rocker systems business, ISITEC preserves French industrial expertise and now covers the entire parcel sorting center chain, from unloading through to dispatch.
ISITEC announces the acquisition of ALFI FIMEC’s rocker systems business (parcel inverters and unloaders). ALFI FIMEC, an SME based in Beaupréau-en-Mauges and a former subsidiary of the ALFI Technologies group, was placed into judicial liquidation. This transaction expands ISITEC’s expertise across the entire value chain of parcel sorting centers and helps preserve a recognized French technology that had attracted interest from foreign players.
ISITEC is now able to support postal operators, logistics providers, and e-commerce companies end to end—from container unloading through parcel sorting, tracking, and final dispatch.
The U-CARE range: a strategic technology at the heart of parcel sorting centers
Through this acquisition, ISITEC expands its offering with the U-CARE range: 100% electric container, roll cage, pallet, and pallet-box inverters and unloaders. With more than 200 units deployed in France and internationally, the range is already used by major postal operators, including La Poste, Swiss Post, Bpost, and Canada Post, as well as leading e-commerce companies.
Positioned at the start of the process, the tipper is a critical component of the sorting center: it feeds the entire operation and determines the throughput of the whole facility. By eliminating the need for manual unloading of containers—one of the most physically demanding tasks—it improves both working conditions and operator safety.
An Acquisition with Strong Growth Ambitions
This acquisition builds on the close relationship that the two companies have maintained over several years. This longstanding partnership naturally led ISITEC to step in and preserve and further develop this expertise. The transaction marks the Group’s evolution toward a model that combines systems integration expertise with industrial know-how, while strengthening its position in major postal, logistics, and e-commerce projects.
French Expertise Preserved and Further Developed
To support this new business activity, ISITEC will rely on two complementary sites: ISITEC Atlantic, based in Angers, dedicated to R&D, project management, and the commercialization of the Tippers range; and a new manufacturing facility near the Group’s headquarters in Millery, where production will be gradually relocated to strengthen industrial control and improve responsiveness.
